On July 18, 2016, Bryan Gallagher was found dead in his home of an overdose. A family's worst nightmare had come true. Bryan was just 27 years old, with his whole life ahead of him. Bryan had been suffering from opiate addiction for years. He had seen endless doctors in an effort to get help of some sort, to deal with his dependency on these substances, however the compulsion was too strong to overcome. Like many others, when life's difficulties became too much, Bryan would seek comfort with drugs.
Bryan was a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend to many. His life cut short as a result of this lifelong struggle. The Bryan Gallagher Memorial Foundation was established to assist individuals battling the disease of addiction. The Bryan Gallagher Memorial Foundation will help to sponsor an individual into a substance abuse rehabilitation facility for treatment and get a second chance at life.
